Suzannah Power - Lay Member Primary Care Commissioning and Deputy Chair
Suzannah was appointed as thePrimary Care Commissioning Lay Member and BSW CCG Deputy Chairon 1 April 2020. She is a Wiltshire resident and has many years' Board level experience.
She started her career in political research, focussing on the impacts of small group dynamics on political strategy. Her career then took her into marketing and customer research in classical music and international education, and from there into the NHS. Suzannah brings the CCG her experience from roles in acute trusts, community trusts and commissioning organisations.
Suzannah has been an advisor on several NICE Guideline Development Groups, including Prevention of CVD at Population Level, Antibiotic Prophylaxis for Infective Endocarditis, Patient Experience in Adult NHS Services, Heart Valve Disease, and Management of Atrial Fibrillation, and she was for some years a member of the British Heart Foundation Council and Chair of the Health Literacy Collaborative.
Suzannah is a regular funding application reviewer for Research for Patient Benefit . Her focus is always on meeting the needs of patients and carers, and the vital role of sustaining high quality primary care services co-ordinated around the needs of patients and communities.
