Consultations and engagement
What are public consultations?
Public consultations give patients and local people the platform to use their voice and influence the decision-making processes around new and existing health and care services in Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW).
Feedback from the public through consultations provides us with invaluable insight into the needs of our local community, which are used to help commission services that meet the needs of the population.
All public consultations carried out by BSW CCG are done so openly and transparently, and in a way that makes the process accessible to all people.
What is engagement?
Engagement is the where we develop relationships with local people so that their voices, thoughts and opinions can help shape local health and care services.
The term engagement can also be used to describe any activity in which patients and members of the public provide feedback on a specific area.
